We are looking for a Head of Talent to lead this next chapter. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the Talent function, manage and build the Talent team, and help shape how XCEED grows as an organization. This role is not about maintaining processes in a highly structured environment. It is about building what is needed, prioritizing what matters most, and creating momentum in a fast-moving, founder-led company.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can combine strong hiring judgment, practical people systems building, and trusted partnership with founders and leaders. You will own our most critical talent priorities: leadership and key hiring, performance infrastructure, manager enablement, and the foundations that help the company scale with more clarity, consistency, and accountability.

What will you do

  • Own critical hiring: Lead XCEED’s most important searches, especially leadership and hard-to-fill roles, while keeping the bar high across all hiring.

  • Partner with leadership: Work closely with founders and leaders on hiring decisions, team design, and key people challenges.

  • Build performance foundations: Create the frameworks, feedback standards, and review practices that raise clarity and accountability.

  • Enable stronger managers: Help leaders hire better, give better feedback, and lead with more consistency.

  • Strengthen People Operations: Build practical systems and rituals that help the company scale without unnecessary complexity.

  • Raise hiring quality: Improve process, alignment, and decision-making across the recruitment funnel.

  • Lead the Talent function: Grow and strengthen the Talent team as a high-impact function for the business.

  • Drive clarity through insight: Use data, judgment, and business context to guide better talent decisions.

  • Protect the bar: Help XCEED hire, grow, and retain people who strengthen performance and culture.

The Skills You Bring

  • Proven experience in Talent, People, or Talent Acquisition roles with broad ownership in startup or scale-up environments.

  • Strong track record hiring for leadership, complex, or high-impact roles.

  • Experience building or improving practical people systems such as performance frameworks, feedback processes, onboarding, manager enablement, or talent operations.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trust with founders, senior leaders, and hiring managers.

  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

  • Strong business judgment and the ability to connect talent decisions to company priorities.

  • Comfortable working in ambiguity, handling shifting priorities, and operating with pace.

  • Strong communication skills, presence, and credibility.

  • English fluent or native. Other European languages are welcome.

  • Based in Barcelona or open to being there regularly is strongly preferred.

  • Experience managing or mentoring others is a plus.

  • Experience in remote or distributed teams is a plus.
